In the new age a sincere aspirant for discipleship should be able to associate himself with a group of student companions focused through some co-ordinating headquarters, without discovering that in a few years' time he is either thrown off the wheel in disgust or has become a slave to the particular system and special teaching of that peculiar leadership or group. Therefore, increasingly the teaching given is not authoritarian, but is suggestive and must be rational and acceptable to those who seek to put it to the test. Increasingly those who enter an esoteric school for discipleship are constantly reminded that they are on their own, and are thrown back on themselves.

Fibonacci is the name by which Leonardo da Pisa is better known. The designation "better known" begs the question somewhat because Fibonacci is, in actuality, not very well known at all. Relative to the contribution he made to human thought, in exoteric, esoteric, mathematical and scientific terms, he is not nearly as well known as that contribution would dictate that he should be.
