Editorial"The Mystery of the Sun/the Self"
Most often, sensitivity is equated with a "thin skin" in regard to the personal self. What a revelation it is to think of sensitivity—that curse of so many high-grade personalities—as the capacity to sense and respond to relationship with something, some energy, greater than the individual self. But first one must know oneself to be the self; to stand—as the sun stands—at the centre of its little universe. From this central point of identity, the capacity to identify with other selves develops and expands until, at some far distant stage, for most of us, one is aware of being incorporated within the Whole.

Can the Fact of the Soul be Proved?—Part III—Djwhal Khul

Discovering the True Self—Sarah McKechnie
If we know our self to be that which abides for a time within a form but is not attached to it, then we can view death as transition and even liberation. As a saint once said, we should live life on earth like a bird resting on a dry branch, ready to fly away. Knowing—remembering—that we have died many times in the past, are experts at it, in fact, and that we will die again one day, can help us live more meaningful, affirmative lives.

The General Principles of Esoteric Astrology—Part II—M. Temple Richmond
The type of spiritual guidance…offered by esoteric astrology deals with right management of energies and forces as a part of certain initiatory tests. Thus, esoteric astrological guidance has relevance only for those members of the human kingdom who have willed to tread the Path of Return, which begins with integration into Hierarchy and continues toward the emanating sources from which all has come.

A Seven Ray Perspective on Addiction–Part I—Richard Bryant-Jefferies
It seems reasonable to hypothesise that if all creation is governed by the interplay of Seven Ray energy, then the behavioural choices and habits, and the addictions that can develop, will themselves be conditioned in some way by this sevenfold energy of life. This article will therefore explore which ray energies may be involved in inducing particular addictive choices. From this we will see how certain addictive behaviours and substances can be seen as an expression of ray energy.

The Experience of Colour—Anders Linden
Colour has fundamentally to do with quality. Therefore it is difficult not to talk abut what colour could possibly mean to us from the subjective angle. There are moments in life, privileged moments, when our sensitivity is sharpened, when we experience colour…the colour of a flower, the colour of a human eye, the colour of the horizon on a late afternoon in October with lengthening shadows…when the impressions are so strong that we automatically will link up with something greater, we might perhaps call it the soul.

Giving Energy to the Good: The Way of Transformation—Olivia Hansen
So what can a person do when he recognizes a weakness and wants to change it? He can think of its exact opposite and cultivate the corresponding virtue to replace the vice. Patanjali in The Light of the Soul (Book II, Sutra 33) stated, "When thoughts which are contrary to yoga [union] are present, there should be cultivation of their opposite." To overcome a vice, the individual can visualize the opposite desired virtue, then affirm it and give energy to it. And the good will grow.

The Aquarian Dispensation—Barbara Domalske
For the Jewish dispensation, the keyword is Law because Moses brought the "Ten Commandments" while the Christian dispensation’s keyword is Love because Christ gave the "Golden Rule". The Aquarian dispensation, named for those it serves, suggests the keyword liberate. The World Teacher will liberate humanity by dispensing the Will of God as universality, right human relations, and goodwill.

Carl Gustav Jung –A Forerunner—Joan Archer
The journey to the center was, he believed, the means by which we achieve a sense of self or, to put it another way, we become one with our source.
