CONTENTS:

Editorial -- Awakening the Aspiration of Humanity
Each year at Wesak a gigantic meditative effort is undertaken which seeks to extend a chain, a bridge of lighted thought, across which Light and Love and Power can travel from the highest realms of Hierarchy to the sub-human kingdoms of nature. In this process humanity is destined to play a crucial role, to act as a transmitter of spiritual light, energy and potency from above to below.

Invocation and the Religious Impulse -- Djwhal Khul

Wesak: The Full Moon of the Buddha -- Sarah McKechnie
We are asked to take part in the Wesak ceremony subjectively, intelligently and imaginatively—with a full play of the imagination, because the imagination is the lower counterpart of the intuition, which is known as "buddhi". In drawing upon the intuition, we are tapping the very quality, buddhi, that is potential within every human being and which aligns us with the Buddha, who is the living embodiment of buddhi and whose very name means "the Awakened One".

The Great Invocation as World Prayer – Gay Witherington
The Coming One may be known by many names. It may manifest in a distinct physical being or as an over-shadowing of consciousness of the many by the One. It will reflect the consciousness of humanity in the Aquarian age and likewise condition that same consciousness in an interconnected spiral of growth and expansion.

The Prayer Triangle -- Barbara Domalske
In a divine triangle, there are three points of energy, not isolated points, but related points holding great tension. Each point distributes strengthening energy to the other points, while producing circulating energy between all points around the triangle. This exemplifies in the Prayer Triangle that the Father and Christ centres are reservoirs to penetrate and invoke with thought energy. Therefore, we seek to establish relationship within this free flowing channel.

Humanity on the Fixed Cross in Preparation for a Change of Polarity From Leo To Aquarius -- Maria H. Lenos
Peace will come when East meets West and West meets East. The very contrasts and opposites which have so far caused such a sharp divide and deep paranoia, will one day be common denominators which will bring the people of all nations together.

Treading the Path of Discipleship – Ruth Kelland
Each incarnation, we are told, recapitulates the long journey of the soul through consciousness and experience. We start again from the beginning, as it were, and glimpses of destiny only present themselves in tiny portions, teased out of the future we have woven for ourselves through past and present choice and activity.

Meister Johannes Eckhart: The Misunderstood Mystic -- Brenda Wittich
Eckhart’s spirituality was a living-in-this-world spirituality, not a monastic spirituality. His intent and motive were to move, motivate and disturb people’s thinking. He wanted people to think for themselves, to find their own salvation, and he worked diligently to teach his students and parishioners the true meaning of life. He spent his entire life searching for new methods of presenting the meaning of the soul and God’s presence in life.

Rule Fourteen For Group Initiation -- Frances Adams Moore
Through application of the truths revealed, the aspirant arrives at a recognition of the inner government, whether that of his or her human soul in form, or that greater aspect, Hierarchy and the Kingdom of Souls. But every stage of the path must be left behind in order to take the next step. Destruction enters into the process; destruction is the process of going beyond, rising above, leaving behind, renouncing, outgrowing. It is a beneficent action which opens the way before.
