When to Compromise One’s Principles -- Editorial
Spiritual compromise is the method of evolution while preserving the great spiritual principle of freedom and human free will. The Plan cannot be imposed on humanity, even by the Masters, and the reason for this is concealed within a hint posed by the Tibetan teacher as a question: "Disciples in all Ashrams have the task of ‘modifying, qualifying and adapting the divine plan’. Why has this to be so? This is a most significant and useful question. Why is the Plan not imposed?"

Principles and Personalities – Part I -- Djwhal Khul

The Protector of Humanity – Part III -- Mark Braham
The rule is in fact inviolate: he or she who does not provide for the development of others limits his or her own development. It is in the act of loving that we become loving beings; it is in the act of sharing our knowledge, that we clarify and affirm it -- and in fact, can go further, and transform our knowledge into wisdom and become wise beings; and it is by grounding love and knowledge in action, that we develop our creative will -- or "will to good" as the teacher Djwhal Khul states it.

Architecture as a Bridge Between the Tangible and Intangible -- Simon Bialobroda
It was Victor Hugo who believed that you could tell how men think by how they build. We can tell a great deal about a society by the buildings it builds. Buildings can be symbolic expressions of beauty and wisdom or they can be ego monuments to ambition, excess and power. Most public buildings and schools today seem oppressive and heavy but they do not have to be that way. Try to recall a time when being in a building made you feel good. When we are in such structures that express those intangibles that are inspirational and evocative, we seem to breathe in and out that invisible quality called "spirit".

Multiple Personality Disorder: An Esoteric Perspective – Part II -- Laura Harrison
From an esoteric perspective, the goal of integration or a true unification of multiple units of consciousness is both undesirable and highly unlikely. Perhaps it is possible to get multiple personalities sharing a single body to work together more effectively and appreciate one another’s individual talents. This has been achieved to some degree by therapeutic means, but if the goal of each incarnation is to provide opportunity for experience and growth for the owner of the body, which is the soul, then this solution is a rather poor one.

The One Life -- Ruth Kelland
The one Life has temporarily subdivided itself into group atoms to evolve particular qualities. Love is the focus of its intention in our purpose of the whole. Our task is to explore the ways and means by which Love can be infused into a realm of substance in which it previously was not.

A Joyful Service -- Julie Ford-Maloney
Remember, in envisioning the world to come, the Tibetan has not asked us to provide detail, but only to think in terms of what our lives might be like "when the majority of human beings are occupied with the good of others". Unfortunately when trying to project this vision, we all to often fall into a welter of "yes, buts". Yes, but how will we stop global warming? Yes, but how about the problem of over-population? Yes, but how do we stop the greed that drives so much of the world’s economy? Yes, but, yes but, yes, but….

Psychic Unfoldment and the Evolutionary Work of the Self: Consciousness as a Method of Precipitating The Plan -- A student
Spirit fully identified with form or matter acts and behaves according to the evolving characteristics of that form or matter. It has no conscious ability yet to act on matter or form because it is still acting as matter or form. It takes on the vibration and quality of the matter in which it dwells, it is that matter or form, it is its life and its reason for being, moving, and acting in the world. As such, matter or form is the expression of spirit appropriate to its current level of consciousness.
