United Communities of Spirit

United Communities of Spirit is a local/global interfaith network, relating people of diverse religious traditions to build a better world. Its aim is "to provide a communications center for promoting awareness that all mankind is part of the same spiritual family."

The centre has published 'A Sourcebook For Earth's Community of Religions'. Divided into five sections, the Sourcebook includes such topics as 'Who are We', which discusses the world's spiritual traditions in alphabetical order from 'African Traditional Religions' to 'Zoroastrianism'. Also themes such as: 'A Global Ethic', 'Religions United?', 'Toward Spiritual Concord' and 'Interfaith Dialogue' are featured. Other topics discussed include 'Religions and Good Governance', 'Human Rights and Religious Freedom' and 'Science and Religion'.

Using the worldwide internet as a means of outreach, the centre provides "a forum where people of good will from every culture and faith tradition can come together, learn from one another, and develop a shared understanding that can inspire and uplift the world."

The centre uses email and web conference facilities. Its database organises all the information, so that the universal threads that relate all spiritual traditions can be acknowledged. United Communities of Spirit explains: "We have no one single agenda and no inherent ideology - other than mutual respect and a deeply-felt concern for the welfare of life on this planet. We are open to anyone who wishes to work with us, and take no one position on the classical truths of religion. Members are entirely free to disagree on matters of ideology, but come together in a common spirit of friendship and respect."

Online Noetic Network

The aim of Online Noetic Network (ONN) is to build "an online dialog about living consciously and building a world based on consciousness, connection, compassion, purpose and wisdom."

Its work is expressed through two email publications - ONN Wisdom and ONN News. ONN Wisdom is ONN's magazine for members, which features in-depth articles, primarily interviews with leading 'paradigm pioneers', essays, book excerpts, feature articles and email correspondence. Recent themes have included: 'Global Consciousness Change', 'Science and Scientism', 'A Call for Connection', 'Leadership in a Challenging World' and 'Celebrating Interconnectivity', an interview with Matthew Fox.

ONN-News is a free publication for both members and non-members alike. It contains short essays and excerpts from ONN-Wisdom. It also features news on conferences, speaking tours, books, newsletters and websites.

The ONN also provides an online bookstore featuring books with "a new worldview, the perspective of living consciously and seeing the potentials of life and consciousness."
