Ideas, Ideals, Idealism
All that we see
around us is the manifestation on outer levels of inner, impulsing
ideas. The points of celestial light shining in the heavens,
are reflections of dynamic thoughtforms held in the minds of
stupendous cosmic Thinkers. Likewise, our planet, and the development
of all life upon it, is inspired by the thought-processes of
our planetary Logos. In our own spheres of consciousness we,
too, weave patterns of thought or ideas that are expressed on
outer levels, if the thought is potent enough.
All thought,
whether spiritually inspired or personality oriented, is registered
by the mind. It is an arresting notion that the human mind has
been described as both the “slayer of the real” and
“the searchlight of the soul.” Both capacities are
distinctive of the mind. To the trained spiritual thinker, the
mind is an instrument that is turned inwards to the higher mental
levels, where reality is contacted. On these subtler levels the
archetypal pattern, the divine idea, is contacted that will one
day be realised in all its beneficent beauty on the lower planes.
This beneficence, perhaps, can be summed up in a few words –
the will-to-good, which is the distinctive note of our
informing planetary Life in “Whom we live and move and have
our being.” Triangles is helping to accelerate the reconnection
of the inner and the outer worlds by acting as an interface through
which the archetypal spiritual pattern can emerge. As these higher
ideas filter through into human consciousness, they become clothed
in denser substance, and interpreted in more appropriate terms
for the well-being of the many
The idealists
and visionary thinkers of the world contact these pure precipitating
ideas; and through working with them and formulating their practical
expression in the three worlds, they descend further into the
consciousness of the race to become the desired ideals, which
enrich human life. They may work out as progressive legislation,
or the establishment of visionary practical initiatives, or advances
in medical science, to name but a few of the many diverse ways
in which the subtler energy pattern is woven into the outer world.
But their effect universally will be to serve the common good.
As these ideals become clothed in human thinking and desire,
like-minded people are magnetically attracted to them. Their
focus nourishes and gives sustenance to the originating impulse,
generating a sense of idealism and of promoting a cause, or system
of thought.
In the world
today, there are many progressive thinkers who are becoming attuned
to the inner archetypal pattern. Through their enlightened thinking
and selfless attitude of mind, they are building the foundations
of a new spiritual order. A spiritual plan, motivated by love
and conveyed on the wings of divine thought, is slowly but surely
breaking on the shores of human consciousness.
